NFL Week 2 Fantasy Prop Bets

NFL Week 2 Fantasy Prop Bets. NFL Prop Bets provide great betting opportunities. Here are some good Week 2 Prop Bets.

NFL prop bets provide devout fantasy football zealots some of the best opportunities to take advantage of the wagering market. With all the time fans put into researching and analyzing individual players and trends, why not apply that to the betting world?  Each week, Last Word On Pro Football will provide a look at some of the best prop bets for that week. Below is a look at the best Week 2 prop bets for the Week 2 Sunday/Monday schedule. (All lines from DraftKings Sportsbook).

NFL Week 2 Fantasy Prop Bets

Jonathan Taylor Over 56.5 Rushing Yards

Jonathan Taylor has moved into the starting running back role after the season-ending injury to Marlon Mack. The Indianapolis Colts have the NFL’s best offensive line per PFF, and face a Minnesota Vikings defense still playing without top defensive lineman Danielle Hunter. At 226 pounds, with 4.39 speed, Taylor is the best running back prospect since Saquon Barkley. With a likely 15-plus carry game, the rookie out of Wisconsin simply needs 3.8 yards per carry to hit this prop. Look for Taylor to sizzle on the ground in the Colts home opener.

DeSean Jackson Over 41.5 Receiving Yards

Don’t get scared off from DeSean Jackson‘s Week 1 performance. Jackson bombed in his usual explosive Week 1 spot against a poor Washington Football Team secondary. But the market has overreacted to a Philadelphia Eagles team that actually led their Week 1 game 17-0. Their offensive line will be closer to full strength in Week 2, with the return of tackle Lane Johnson. Philadelphia should also have an advantage playing against a Los Angeles Rams team that will have to travel across the country for a 1 PM start. It will probably pay dividends to bet on Jackson to eclipse 41.5 receiving yards.

Derrick Henry Under 118.5 Rushing Yards

This is strictly a “fade the public” play. Derrick Henry usually puts up big rushing totals against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Since 2018, Henry has averaged 17.8 rushing attempts, 124.5 rushing yards, and 1.5 touchdowns per game. However, he also had only 57 rushing yards, on 18 attempts, against the Jaguars in Week 3 last season. Henry could have a huge game, but still fall short of this extremely high total. The smart play is to bet against Henry rushing for over 118.5 yards this week.

Drew Lock Under 1.5 Passing TDs

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense could be the NFL’s best. Pittsburgh put the New York Giants signal caller Daniel Jones under the most pressure of any quarterback in Week 1. In the Steelers home opener, Drew Lock’s accuracy issues will be exposed. Lock probably will not throw for more than one touchdown. In fact, the Steelers defense might force multiple turnovers.

Logan Thomas Over 2.5 Receptions

This is one of the best Week 2 props. With Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson shadowing top Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin, Dwayne Haskins will need to find other reliable pass catchers to keep pace with the explosive Arizona offense. Logan Thomas was one of the fantasy world’s projected preseason breakout stars, and produced four receptions, 37 yards, and a touchdown in Week 1. Against a Cardinals defense who allowed the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends in 2019, Thomas is a great play to hit the over on 2.5 receptions in Week 2.

That is a breakdown of some of the NFL Week 2 Fantasy prop bets. Be sure to watch all of the action on Sunday and Monday to see the outcome of each of these prop bets.
