Bottom Line on Zach Shackelford

Zach Shackelford is a primary center prospect who will struggle is asked to move across the line. His leadership qualities will make him a welcome addition in any locker room. His footwork as a center is appealing to any coach who plans to draft one. Shackelford also has performed well in the Big12 conference where high offensive line play is critical.
His snap consistency is lacking and will need to be refined. Shackelford’s strength will also need to increase if he plans to start in the league. Coaches will also need to help him overcome the struggle of mask his lack of influence at the point of attack. A developmental prospect who will certainly earn a practice squad spot or sneak in at the back end of a roster.
