Cornerback Bradley Roby has signed a three-year, $36 million deal with the Houston Texans, whom he spent the 2019 season with as well. The deal keeps Roby with the team through 2022.

Roby’s 2019 season was shortened by injury as he only played ten games, but he still put up some decent stats. Roby finished with 38 tackles, with only three of them being assisted. He had two interceptions, including a pick-six. He also had one sack and one forced fumble, and eight pass deflections.

Roby played football in high school at Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee, Georgia. He then played in college at Ohio State, where he made First-Team All-Big Ten in both 2012 and 2013. In the 2014 draft, he was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 31st pick, where he remained through 2018.

Roby did not miss a game from 2014 to 2017. However, he only started 14 games during that time and was primarily a role player. Still, he put up some good statistics during that time. In his rookie season, he recorded 65 tackles, which remains a career high. He was a part of the 2015 Broncos team that won the Super Bowl. In the AFC Championship against the New England Patriots, he intercepted a pass tipped by Aqib Talib on what would’ve been the game-tying two-point conversion, thus sealing the victory. In the Super Bowl itself, he had two tackles and three pass deflections.

Roby finally became a full-time starter in 2018 and started all 15 of the games he played, but didn’t see his numbers go up much despite that. He had 50 tackles, which was the second highest of his career, but only one interception. He did get two forced fumbles. Roby then joined the Texans for the 2019 season.

Roby thus far in his career has 274 tackles (246 solo), four sacks, eight forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, nine interceptions (with three pick-sixes) and 68 pass deflections.
