Fantasy Football Week 10 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Claims: Zach Pascal, DeVante Parker, More

Fantasy Football Week 10 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Claims: Zach Pascal and Preston Williams should have fantasy football value moving forward.
Zach Pascal

Eight weeks of NFL play are officially in the books, which means bye weeks are in full swing. Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you’ll need to search the waiver wire for all the best available wide receivers. Heading into Week 9, you should set your eyes on Zach Pascal, Preston Williams, A.J. Brownand Josh Reynolds.

Update: Preston Williams tore his ACL and is done for the season. Grab DeVante Parker instead

Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you’re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.

Zach Pascal, Preston Williams Highlight Fantasy Football Week 10 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Claims

Zach Pascal

T.Y. Hilton is expected to miss the next 3-4 weeks, so Zach Pascal is now the top option in the passing game. Pascal has shown flashes throughout the season, but had a solid day as the top option in the Colts passing attack. Hauling in passes from both Jacoby Brissett and Brian Hoyer, Pascal recorded five receptions for 76 yards and one touchdown.

As of this posting, it’s unclear whether or not Brissett is going to be ready for Week 10. Obviously, Pascal would be better off with Brissett, but Hoyer is capable of adequate play under center. Pascal is the clear top waiver claim of the week and should be a locked and loaded starter until T.Y. Hilton returns.

Preston Williams/Devante Parker

Preston Williams was overdue for a big game, while Devante Parker has quietly been a productive flex play for the vast majority of the season. Williams finally had his breakout game against the New York Jets, recording five receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns. Parker, meanwhile, remained reliable with a 4/57/1 slash line.

The Dolphins are going to throw the ball a lot, and Ryan Fitzpatrick has actually played relatively well this season. Both players are widely unowned in fantasy leagues and should have relatively safe floors with decent upside. Whether the yards come in garbage time or not, they still count the same in fantasy.

A.J. Brown

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver A.J. Brown appears to be the favorite target of quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The rookie had a strong outing on Sunday, recording four receptions for 81 yards. This is Brown’s third straight game with either 64 receiving yards or a touchdown, which coincides with Tannehill taking over as the starter.

Brown faces off against a Kansas City Chiefs team which might have Patrick Mahomes back under center. The Titans are going to need to throw early and often to keep up in this one, so Brown should see plenty of targets. He has the ability to capitalize on his opportunities and should be a smart streaming candidate in Week 10.

Josh Reynolds

Brandin Cooks probably won’t play in Week 10, as he battles his way back from yet another concussion. In his absence, Josh Reynolds is going to see his fair share of opportunity in the Rams high-powered passing attack. The Rams are coming off a bye, but Week 8’s action shows that Reynolds is the next man up in the passing attack. Cooks went down early in the contest, and Reynolds recorded three receptions for 73 yards and one touchdown on eight targets in his absence.

Cooper Kupp is still going to be the star of the offense, and Gerald Everett and Robert Woods will still receive their share of the pie. However, Reynolds is still going to see his fair share of the work, and he has the speed and explosiveness to make a big play every time he touches the ball. Prioritize the other players on this list, but Reynolds can be a solid fall back.
