Fantasy Football: Anthony Miller, Josh Reynolds Top Week 11 Waiver Claims

Fantasy Football: Anthony Miller is available in the majority of leagues and is one of several smart wide receiver waiver claims for Week 11
Anthony Miller

The fantasy football season is officially in its final stretch. With the trade deadline passed in the majority of leagues, the only way to improve your roster is through smart waiver claims. No matter how good your roster is, you’ll need to make at least one or two moves on the waiver wire if you’re to win your championship. With that in mind, wide receivers Anthony Miller and Josh Reynolds can be smart adds for Week 11.

Anthony Miller

Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Anthony Miller is officially here to stay. Miller showed that he can still produce with Allen Robinson on the field, hauling in five receptions for 122 yards and one touchdown against the Detroit Lions. This was yet another successful week for Miller, who has recorded 208 yards and two touchdowns in the past three weeks.

Miller appears to be in the position to take the number two receiving spot away from Taylor Gabriel. Miller’s six targets were three more than Gabriel’s and he’s producing more with his opportunities. Mitchell Trubisky is starting to develop into a strong NFL quarterback capable of keeping two receivers fantasy-relevant at the same time. If you need a low-end WR2 or a solid start in the flex, check your waiver wire to see if Miller is available.

Josh Reynolds

With Cooper Kupp reportedly suffering a torn ACL injury, it is time for Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Josh Reynolds to shine. Reynold’s season-long numbers are underwhelming, as he’s typically no better than the Rams fifth-or-sixth-best option in the passing game.

However, with Kupp sidelined, Reynolds has a big role to fill. While he obviously won’t match Kupp’s production, he has shown the ability to step into the offense and put up solid fantasy numbers. Reynolds recorded 42 yards for two touchdowns on three receptions when filling in for Kupp back in Week Eight. Claiming Reynolds is risky, as Los Angeles has so many weapons that it’s hard to predict his target volume on a weekly basis. However, he has the potential to put up big-time numbers in one of the most powerful offenses in football.

Donte Moncrief

Trusting Donte Moncrief, or any Jacksonville Jaguars receiver, is a risky proposition. The Jaguars have been one of the streakiest teams in the league and Moncrief has struggled with consistency throughout his career. That said, Moncrief has strung together a series of impressive performances and should be viewed as the Jaguars best receiver moving forward.

Moncrief recorded three receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown during Week 11’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Over his past six games, Moncrief has recorded 337 yards and two touchdowns on 22 receptions. With Keelan Cole and Dede Westbrook underperforming, Moncrief appears to be the go-to guy in Jacksonville’s offense. Owned in just 0.7% of NFL.com fantasy leagues, Moncrief should be available if you’re looking for an emergency start at wide receiver.

Brandon LaFell

Somebody has to catch passes for the Oakland Raiders, right? Just weeks after trading away Amari Cooper, wide receivers Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant suffered injuries which forced them out of Sunday’s contest against the Los Angeles Chargers.

LaFell finished Sunday’s matchup with four receptions for 47 yards. While that stat line doesn’t jump off the page, the fact remains that there is nobody left on the Raiders capable of catching passes. LaFell has a chance to put up numbers based on pure volume alone. He won’t your league by any means, but he might be able to give you a decent performance if you’re wide receiver depth is weak.
