Danny Amendola is starting to differentiate himself from other Patriots receivers. During Amendola’s career in New England, he has compiled the greatest postseason resume in the history of the franchise.

Since 1960 the New England Patriots have had a history full of playoff success. As of February 4, 2018, the Patriots will have won 10 AFC Championships and possibly six Super Bowls. The franchise has had its fair share of memorable performances in the postseason. One wide receiver has started to stand out from all others and can arguably be considered the greatest receiver in Patriots postseason history: Danny Amendola. During Amendola’s career in New England, he has compiled the greatest postseason resume in the history of the franchise. His memorable performances have helped the Patriots win two Super Bowls. 2015 AFC Divisional Round vs Baltimore Ravens

In this all-time classic, the Patriots came back from two fourteen point deficits to advance to the AFC Championship Game. The Patriots were down 14-0 early. Then, Danny Amendola scored a second-quarter touchdown from Tom Brady. The score then went to 14-14. Next, the Ravens took a 28-14 lead in the third quarter, but Amendola was not finished. In one of the most famous plays in Patriots history, Amendola caught a fifty-one-yard touchdown pass from Julian Edelman to tie the game again at 28-28. Amendola finished with five receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Finally, the Patriots went on to win the game 35-31 and move on to defeat the Indianapolis Colts 45-7 the following week.

Super Bowl XLIX

In this instant classic, the Patriots overcame a ten-point deficit to win the fourth Super Bowl in franchise history. Late in the game, the Patriots were down 24-14 to the Seattle Seahawks and the legendary Legion of Boom. Then Danny Amendola caught an important four-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. The Seahawks’ lead was cut to 24-21. Next, the Patriots went on to take a 28-24 late in the fourth. Finally, Malcolm Butler went on to make a key interception to clinch the game for New England. Amendola finished with five receptions, 48 yards, and a touchdown.

Super Bowl LI

Super Bowl LI is arguably the greatest Super Bowl of all-time. We all know the Patriots fell behind 28-3 to the Atlanta Falcons. Danny Amendola scored on a touchdown pass from Tom Brady to cut the Falcons’ lead to 28-20. Then Amendola’s biggest play came on a late two-point conversion. Amendola caught a pass from Tom Brady that tied the game at 28-28. Finally, James White scored in overtime to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28. The Patriots won their fifth Super Bowl, and the Atlanta Falcons won the right to be made fun of on the internet forever.

2018 AFC Divisional Round vs Tennessee Titans

A few weeks ago, the New England Patriots destroyed the Tennessee Titans in Foxborough on a Saturday night. Danny Amendola never scored, but he was a dominant force that night. Amendola recorded 11 receptions for 112 yards. His performance helped New England win 35-14.

2018 AFC Championship Game vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Danny Amendola once again showed up in a big game. The Patriots trailed 20-10 in the fourth quarter. Amendola came to the rescue late in the game. Danny “Playoff” Amendola scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to help the Patriots win 24-20. Amendola’s game-winning touchdown featured some legendary footwork in the back of the end zone. Amendola finished with seven receptions for 84 yards and two touchdowns. The win propelled the Patriots to the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.
