Week 11 Fantasy Football Starts and Sits

Winning week to week in fantasy football is about playing the match ups. Here are some week 11 fantasy football starts and sits to help you win this week.

One of the most crucial parts of playing fantasy football is playing the matchups. Now some players are considered matchup proof. You aren’t going to sit Tom Brady, Le’Veon Bell or Antonio Brown. Below are some fantasy football starts and sits to help you to win your fantasy matchup this week.

Week 11 Fantasy Football Starts and Sits

Starts

Kirk Cousins

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins is ranked as the eighth best quarterback in fantasy football this season. However over the last few weeks, he has been a bit inconsistent as his playmakers have dealt with injuries and other offensive struggles. He is coming off a solid week 10 with 27 fantasy points. He is going up against the New Orleans Saints who have been solid over the last few weeks. Cousins should produce numbers in a game that has shoot out potential.

Carson Wentz

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has shown why he was worth the first round pick last season. He is averaging around 21 fantasy points per game in 2017. Wentz is currently ranked as the number two quarterback in fantasy football this season. Wentz is going up against the Dallas Cowboys in week 11. The Cowboys are giving up the 13th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.

Doug Martin

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin has struggled over his last few games. Martin is averaging three points per game over his last two games. In week 11 he has a solid match up against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are giving up the seventh most points to running backs this season, with over 250 rushing yards allowed in week 10. Martin is a little bit of a risk in week 11 but should produce solid running back two numbers.

Jay Ajayi

Newly Acquired Philadelphia Eagles running back Jay Ajayi started off the season slow, averaging around five fantasy points per game. He is coming off a strong week nine with 13 fantasy points. With Ajayi being traded to the Eagles he should be the leading back for one of the best offenses in the NFL. Ajayi is going up against the Dallas Cowboys in week 11 who will most likely be with out the star linebacker Sean Lee. Ajayi is a high end RB2 this week.

Jarvis Landry

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry has been one of the best and most consistent receivers in fantasy football this season. He is ranked as the 23rd best receiver and has scored nine or more fantasy points in five of his last six games. In week 11 he is going up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are giving up the second most fantasy points this season.

JuJu Smith-Schuster

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has been one of the best wide receivers over the last few weeks. He has found the end zone in three straight games, now coming off a season high 97 yards and a touchdown in week 10. Smith-Schuster has a solid match up this week against the Tennessee Titans defense. The Titans defense has been a solid match up for receivers and is giving up the ninth most fantasy points to that position. He is a solid WR2 on Thursday night.

Jared Cook

Oakland Raiders tight end Jared Cook has been one of the best tight ends in fantasy football over his last three games. He is averaging around nine fantasy points per game over his last three. Cook is going up against the New England Patriots who are giving up the 12th most fantasy points to tight ends.

Jason Witten

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten Has been one of the best tight ends in the NFL for over a decade. However,  Witten has been inconsistent in his 2017 fantasy production with three games of one or less points. He also has three games of 10 or more fantasy points. Witten is the biggest boom or bust tight end this season. In week 11 he is going up against the Eagles who are giving up the eighth most fantasy points to tight ends.

Sits

Andy Dalton

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has struggled throughout the season averaging only 12 fantasy points per game. He is coming off a decent week 10, though, scoring 15 fantasy points. In week 11 he is going up against the Denver Broncos who have been carved up by Wentz and Tom Brady in back-to-back weeks. With Dalton’s struggles this season he is a risky play in week 11 against a defense that on average gives up less than 15 fantasy points to quarterbacks.

Eli Manning

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has been a staple in the NFL and fantasy for over a decade. The Giants offense has been hit by the injury bug this season and Manning is struggling now with rumors of being benched. He is coming off a solid week 10 with 17 fantasy points. Week 11 is a difficult match up for Manning as he is going up against the Kansas City Chiefs who have been a solid matchup for quarterbacks this season. With all the injuries to their offense Manning is a risky boom or bust play this week.

C.J. Anderson

Broncos running back C.J. Anderson is coming off another down week with only five points. Anderson had been a boom or bust flex play throughout the season averaging eight fantasy points per game. In week 11 he is going up against the Cincinnati Bengals who have been an average defense against the run this season. With Anderson splitting carries and the offense struggling Anderson is a risky flex play this week.

Alfred Morris

Dallas Cowboys running back Alfred Morris is coming a decent week 10 as he totaled five fantasy points in his first game as a starer for the Cowboys. Morris is a first and second down back and doesn’t see much usage in the passing game, limiting opportunities to produce fantasy points. In week 11 Morris and the Cowboys are going up against the Philadelphia Eagles who are giving up the second fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. In a game where the Cowboys could be playing from behind Morris should remain on the bench this week.

Jordy Nelson

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson is one of the wide receivers never thought to be on this list. Since Aaron Rodgers went down, Nelson has scored a total of 13 fantasy points in four games, averaging around three points per game. With Nelson struggling and facing a tough match up against the Baltimore Ravens, Nelson should remain on fantasy owners benches this week.

Rishard Matthews

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews has been a solid wide receiver for fantasy owners this season. He has averaged around seven fantasy points per game but has been a little inconsistent this season. Matthews has five games of five or fewer fantasy points this season. In week 11 he has a difficult match up against the Steelers, who are giving up the third fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. Matthews is a risky flex option for fantasy owners in week 11.

Vernon Davis

Redskins tight end Vernon Davis has been one of most consistent tight ends in fantasy for around a decade. With fellow tight end Jordan Reed dealing with several injuries, Davis has been a solid player at the position for the Redskins and fantasy owners. He is the 11th ranked tight end in fantasy averaging around five and a half points per game. In week 11 he is going up against the Saints who are allowing the ninth fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season. With the lack of depth at the position fantasy owners might have to roll with Davis but should temper expectations.

Kyle Rudolph

Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph has struggled this season. He has five games of four or less fantasy points. Rudolph is coming off a disappointing week 10 with only three fantasy points. Week 11 is another tough match up against the Los Angeles Rams, who are giving up the 11th fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season. Rudolph is a risky play this week in a tough matchup.
