Fantasy Spotlight: Week Three DraftKings Targets

As week three approaches many of us are still chasing that DraftKings million. Looking for players to target for your DFS lineup this week? Look no further than the Fantasy Spotlight on lastwordonprofootball.com.

We are two weeks down and if you haven’t won $1 million yet, you are probably back with us looking for who to target for your DraftKings DFS lineups. Week two was a solid week for the Fantasy Spotlight hitting on Ty Montgomery, C.J. Anderson, Julio Jones, Chris Hogan and the Baltimore Ravens defense. Week three is here and its time to keep the good mojo rolling.

Fantasy Spotlight: Week Three DraftKings Targets

Quarterback

Kirk Cousins: Washington Redskins vs Oakland Raiders

Salary: $6,100

Kirk Cousins has yet to get on track this season. Through two games Cousins is averaging a mere 12.7 fantasy points per game in DraftKings contests. That number will increase Sunday night against an Oakland Raiders defense traveling across country for the second time in three weeks. The Raiders rank 24th against opposing fantasy quarterbacks.

Josh McCown: New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins

Salary: $4,500

No this is not a misprint, Josh McCown is on this list. Listen, odds are the Jets will be playing from behind in this game. The Dolphins are a big favorite, and are expected to win relatively easily. Miami gave up 323 yards passing to Philip Rivers and the Chargers last week. Would anyone be totally shocked if McCown threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns in a game in which the Jets will be playing catch-up in? He offers tremendous DFS value in week three.

Other Notables: Philip Rivers $6,400, Ben Roethlisberger $6,200 and Carson Wentz $5,900

Running Back

Ty Montgomery: Green Bay Packers vs Cincinnati Bengals

Salary: $6,900

We hit on Ty Montgomery last week and he should produce for us again in week three. The Cincinnati Bengals are a disaster right now. While their passing defense has held Joe Flacco and Deshaun Watson in check, their rushing defense has been a nightmare. The Bengals rank 31st in rushing yards against, allowing 162.5 per game. Montgomery is primed for another big fantasy week.

Theo Riddick: Detroit Lions vs Atlanta Falcons

Salary: $5,100

Here is one of those players that can be a difference maker for you. Although Riddick is splitting time with Ameer Abdullah, this week the game script could favor Riddick more. The Atlanta Falcons rank 29th against opposing fantasy running backs. Riddick offers great pass catching value, converting nine of ten targets through the first two games of the season. With the point total of the game projected at 50.5, look for Riddick to be involved.

Other Notables: Le’Veon Bell $8,800, Jay Ajayi $7,700 and Jalen Richard $4,100

Wide Receiver

DeAndre Hopkins: Houston Texans at New England Patriots

Salary: $6,200

Despite playing with Tom Savage and rookie Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins leads the league with 29 targets. Expectations for this game are the Texans will be playing from behind, thus allowing Watson to force feed targets to his number one receiver. DFS players will fear the matchup with Watson on the road against the Patriots, which should lead to a low ownership percentage for Hopkins.

Terrelle Pryor Sr.: Washington Redskins vs Oakland Raiders

Salary: $5,900

Through his first two games with the Redskins Pryor and Kirk Cousins have had trouble getting on the same page. His 15 targets lead the team and a Sunday night matchup with the Raiders secondary should provide the breakout Pryor needs. We like the quarterback/wide receiver stack, and Pryor is the second half of our stack for week three.

Other Notables: Davante Adams $5,600, Tyrell Williams $4,600 and Rashard Higgins $4,000

Tight End

Zach Ertz: Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants

Salary: $5,000

We have been on the Zach Ertz bandwagon since the start of the season and we are going to stay on it week three. Ertz has 13 catches on 18 targets for 190 yards this season. The Giants (30th against opposing tight ends) have allowed touchdowns to Jason Witten and Eric Ebron. Ertz is a no-brainer DraftKings pick in this NFC East showdown.

Jack Doyle: Indianapolis Colts vs Cleveland Browns

Salary: $3,600

In his first game with Jacoby Brissett as starting quarterback, Jack Doyle caught all eight of his targets for 79 yards against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cleveland Browns rank 31st against fantasy tight ends, meaning Doyle is in prime position to produce solid DFS numbers this week.

Other Notables: Delanie Walker $4,400, Hunter Henry $3,900 and Charles Clay $3,400

Defense

Philadelphia Eagles

Salary: $3,000

Until the New York Giants show they can block for Eli Manning, establish a run game or get their receivers involved, they are prime lunch meat for any decent defense. So far through two games Philadelphia has four turnovers, eight sacks and a defensive touchdown. “Fly Eagles Fly” will be the mantra for the Eagles defense on Sunday afternoon.

Tennessee Titans

Salary: $2,700

The Titans are here strictly because of matchup. Much like the Giants, the Seattle Seahawks offense has yet to get on track. Flying across the country for a game in Tennessee is not the remedy for Russell Wilson and his shaky offensive line.

Other Notables: Pittsburgh Steelers $3,400, Green Bay Packers $3,400 and Tampa Bay Buccaneers $3,200
