Linebacker Jarvis Jones, the 17th overall pick of the 2013 draft, has inked his second contract after four seasons in the NFL.

Outside linebacker Jarvis Jones will sign with the Arizona Cardinals according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, citing sources. His contract with the team is expected to be a one-year deal, per Peter Schrager of Fox Sports. Jones spent the first four seasons of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jones played in 14 games in 2016, starting nine of them. Lack of productivity ultimately led to his benching. Not to say he didn’t contribute, however, considering he had 30 tackles while forcing two fumbles and grabbing a pick playing spot duty in the second half of the season.

Jarvis Jones was drafted in the first round of the 2013 draft by the Steelers and never lived up to the reputation he had in college as a productive pass rusher. In his rookie year, he collected a sack and four passes defensed in spot duty. A year later, he battled injury only playing in seven games and had two sacks and a forced fumble. Jones was healthy during his third season in 2015, but his statistics were almost identical as the season before with two sacks, but he also picked off the first pass of his career. In 2016 Jones picked off another pass and only got one sack. Overall, over four seasons in Pittsburgh, Jarvis Jones had six sacks and two picks.

Jones was a highly recruited player out of Columbus, Georgia. After committing to play at Southern Cal, he only appeared in eight games for the Trojans before suffering a neck injury, ending his season. After USC doctors determined that he couldn’t play again for the university, Jones transferred to Georgia. After red-shirting the 2010 season, Jones played out the final two years of his eligibility collecting 28 sacks in his final two seasons. Jones was selected in the first round, 17th overall in the 2013 NFL Draft.
