Vincent Trocheck Trade to Utah Is a Huge Addition For the Mammoth

The veteran centre has been productive for the New York Rangers, as he has scored more than 50 points in all four seasons in his time there. In 2025-26, he recorded 16 goals and 37 assists for 53 points in 67 games. Trocheck has been in trade rumours for quite some time, as he sat out a game before the 2026 NHL Trade Deadline.

For the Mammoth, they have gotten a solid top-six centre to help out the likes of Logan Cooley and Nick Schmaltz. It will help their centre depth in a big way.

Durzi, Beaudoin, Third-Round Pick Headed the Rangers’ Way

Sean Durzi is a decent pickup for the Rangers as he scored five goals and 22 assists for 27 points in 60 games last season for the Mammoth. The 27-year-old defenceman is a solid puck-mover and can be effective on the power play. Alongside the acquisition of Marcus Pettersson from the Vancouver Canucks, this is a solid improvement to a defence core that was in desperate need of improvement.

Cole Beaudoin was drafted 24th overall in 2024 by Utah. According to the 2024 Elite Prospects Draft Guide, “Beaudoin eats up the boards, grinds them, spins off opponents, drags the puck out of traffic, and gets it to the middle of the ice. There’s not a battle that he can’t win, even when at a numbers disadvantage.” He scored 33 goals and 55 assists for 88 points with the OHL’s Barrie Colts this season.

The Rangers also acquired a 2027 third-round draft pick, which is a nice sweetener. Overall, this could be a solid trade for both teams.
