What It Means

Andersson is coming off a career-high in goals with 17, and he’s been on the top of lists for the most-desired free agents. The veteran blueliner was sought after at the NHL trade deadline before the Golden Knights secured his services.

He didn’t score any goals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. However, Andersson picked up six assists in 22 postseason games as Vegas made a run to the Stanley Cup Final. Despite this, the Golden Knights fell to the Carolina Hurricanes in six games.

Andersson has been a solid puck-moving defender and improves any defensive group that he’s a part of. He got to cash in this time in free agency.
