What Do These Players Bring For Their New Teams?
Firstly, Luke Glendening is a veteran centre who has played in a bottom-six role for most of his career. In 52 games with the New Jersey Devils this season, he has four assists. He is a dependable and durable player. For the Flyers, this is a fine depth move and is a good veteran addition. He has 916 career games to his name, recording 83 goals and 87 assists for 170 points.
Secondly, Douglas is the tallest active NHL player. Standing at 205 cm (6-foot-8 1/2), he can be a protective presence for the young players on the Vancouver Canucks roster. In 29 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning this season, he has two assists. This season is his first season in the NHL. For a rebuilding team, this may be the sandpaper the Canucks need. Douglas is second in the league this season with eight fights to his name, second only to Ross Johnston of the Anaheim Ducks. He has more fights this season than the entire Canucks roster. Douglas had played 261 AHL games before finally getting a crack at the Lightning roster this season.
Finally, Reinhardt is a depth left winger in the Vegas Golden Knights organization currently. In 44 games this season, he has recorded three goals and four assists for seven points. Claimed by Florida, this is another depth move. He has 123 hits in 62 career games, proving that he can be a physical force.
As the NHL trade deadline comes to a close, stay tuned for many more trade updates coming your way.
