We open up NHL predictions with our featured game between the Washington Capitals and the Chicago Blackhawks. Washington is expected to give Logan Thompson the start in goal for this game. Justin Sourdiff has been red-hot as of late with nine points in the team’s previous 10 games.
Spencer Knight is the probable starter for the Blackhawks in this matchup. Chicago is 5-4-1 in its previous 10 games but has racked up four consecutive victories entering this game. The winning streak is all the more impressive considering that leading point-getter Connor Bedard has been out of the lineup. However, the club may be getting their talisman back sooner rather than later. Tyler Bertuzzi has stepped up and leads the Blackhawks in goals with 22.
Chicago has become a solid team despite the loss of its leader. However, Washington will pick up the victory.
