With the large amount of games on tonight’s NHL schedule, it might be hard to know where to start. We at the Last Word on Hockey have helped narrow your focus to our best bets. This round of NHL Predictions will help condense the slate into three best bets and one prop bet of the night.

Edmonton Oilers vs Dallas Stars

Head-to-Head: Oilers 1-1 Stars

Our first and featured game of NHL predictions has the Dallas Stars hosting the Edmonton Oilers, who are 6-2-2 in the last 10. Stuart Skinner is the expected starter for Edmonton, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter.  The Oilers have scored 262 total goals (3.6 per game) to rank fourth in the league. Leon Draisaitl has 39 goals and 60 assists for the Oilers. Zach Hyman has nine goals and one assist over the last 10 games.

Jake Oettinger is the likely starter for the Stars, who have won seven straight games and are 8-2 in the last 10 games. Dallas has gone 24-6-2 in games they serve fewer penalty minutes than their opponents. Wyatt Johnston has netted 29 goals and 30 assists for the Stars. Jason Robertson has totaled six goals and seven assists over the past 10 games.

This could be a playoff preview, but the Stars are coming in with all the momentum.

Prediction: Stars win 5-3.

Seattle Kraken vs Los Angeles Kings

Head-to-Head: Kraken 1-1 Kings

It’s another Pacific Division battle as the Seattle Kraken visit the Los Angeles Kings. Joey Daccord is the expected starter in goal for Seattle, which is 3-6-1 in the last 10 games. The Kraken have a 26-2-9 record in games they score three or more goals. Jared McCann has scored 28 goals with 31 assists for the Kraken. Eeli Tolvanen has one goal and six assists over the last 10 games. Seattle is coming into the game relatively healthy.

Cam Talbot is the projected starter for the Kings, who have lost three straight games and are 5-5 in the last 10 games. Phillip Danault is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, so keep an eye on that if you have him rostered. Los Angeles does boast a a 32-4-6 record when scoring at least three goals. Trevor Moore has 26 goals and 24 assists for the Kings. The ageless Anze Kopitar has scored eight goals and added five assists over the last 10 games.

Los Angeles is struggling, but will get back on track with this win.

Prediction: Kings win 4-2.

Vancouver Canucks vs Arizona Coyotes

Head-to-Head: Canucks 1-0 Coyotes

TV: Sportsnet Pacific; Scripps; ESPN+

Our final game of NHL predictions has the Vancouver Canucks battling the Arizona Coyotes. Arturs Silovs is likely to get his second start of the season in the blue paint. Vancouver is 5-4-1 in the last 10 games. The Canucks have a 26-7-1 record in games their opponents serve more penalty minutes. Elias Pettersson has scored 33 goals with 52 assists for the Canucks. Nils Hoglander has four goals and one assist over the past 10 games.

Connor Ingram is the projected starter in net for the Coyotes, who are 5-5 in the last 10 games. The Coyotes have actually been a respectable 20-18 at home this season. Arizona serves 11.9 penalty minutes per game to rank fourth in NHL play. Nick Schmaltz has 21 goals and 35 assists for the Coyotes. Clayton Keller has nine goals and six assists over the past 10 games. Barrett Hayton is out for the Coyotes with an injury.

Vancouver is hoping Thatcher Demko can return soon, but should win a tight one against Arizona.

Prediction: Canucks win 3-2.
