Our opening game of NHL predictions has the Arizona Coyotes heading to the American capital. Arizona is expected to go with Connor Ingram in goal, but always check social media before locking in a starter. The Coyotes snapped their 14-game losing streak against the Ottawa Senators last time out. Clayton Keller leads the team in goals with 22 while Matias Maccelli is tops in assists with 30.
Charlie Lindgren is the expected starter for the Washington Capitals, who are 6-2-2 in the last 10. Dylan Strome leads the team in goals with 22 and John Carlson is first in assists with 30. Washington is seven points off the last Stanley Cup Playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Arizona is flying high after that win, but Washington has been solid in the last 10.
Prediction: Capitals win 4-2.
Vancouver Canucks vs Anaheim Ducks
Head-to-Head: Canucks 1-0 Ducks

The Vancouver Canucks travel south of the border to take on the Anaheim Ducks. It was a big day for the Canucks with Elias Pettersson inking a long-term extension on Saturday. Vancouver has lost two in a row and in their first real rough patch of the season. Casey DeSmith is the projected starter for the Canucks. Brock Boeser leads the team in goals while Quinn Hughes has 58 assists on the season.
Possible trade candidate John Gibson is the likely starter for the Ducks, who have won two in a row. Frank Vatrano, another possible trade piece, is leading the team in goals with 29. Troy Terry is first in assists with 29. Both Leo Carlson and Mason McTavish could be question marks for tonight’s game at the Honda Center.
Vancouver has been struggling, but won’t take this game lightly and get back on track.
Prediction: Canucks win 4-2.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs Edmonton Oilers
Head-to-Head: Penguins 0-0 Oilers

Our final and featured game of NHL predictions has the Pittsburgh Penguins taking on the Edmonton Oilers. Pittsburgh has lost two in a row and is 4-5-1 in its last 10 games. The Penguins did play the day before and lost 4-3 to the Calgary Flames. Alex Nedeljkovic will likely draw the start with Tristan Jarry going in Calgary the night before. Sidney Crosby leads the team in goals with 32 while Erik Karlsson is first in assists with 35.
Calvin Pickard is the confirmed starter with the Oilers having beaten the Seattle Kraken the day before. Edmonton has won three consecutive games and is 6-3-1 in the last 10 games. Zach Hyman has 40 goals while Connor McDavid is closing in on another 100-point season. McDavid is topping the assist category with 73 so far this campaign. The Oilers have the third-ranked power play in the league, but will be tested by the Penguins 8th-rated penalty kill.
Both teams are coming off back-to-back games, but Edmonton picks up the home win.
Prediction: Oilers win 5-3.
Prop Bet of the Night
Let’s stay with our featured game of tonight’s NHL predictions for this one. Hyman has been a consistent goal-scorer for a good portion of the season. We’ll go with Hyman and the over on +0.5 goals for this one. Playing on a high-powered offensive team like Edmonton helps that cause.
