Mika Zibanejad Scores Five Times
2020: The Rangers centre scores five times, including the overtime-winner in a 6-5 victory over the Washington Capitals. It’s his fourth career hat trick and second of the season for the Blueshirts pivot. The five-goal game is the first since Mark Pavelich did so on Feb. 23, 1983.
Zibanejad caps off the night with a a breakaway goal in overtime on Ilya Samsonov. The Swede takes the feed from Artemi Panarin and scores off the backhand for the game-clinching goal.

1969: Chicago Blackhawks forward Bobby Hull becomes the first four-time 50-goal scorer in league history. Hull nets a pair of goals in a 4-4 tie with the Rangers at Chicago Stadium.
Boston Bruins star Phil Esposito sets the single-season assist mark with a pair of helpers in a 2-2 tie with the Detroit Red Wings. Esposito gets his 62nd and 63rd assists of the season.
1972: Rangers defenceman Brad Park becomes the third blueliner to score 20 goals in a 6-1 rout of the Vancouver Canucks.

1977: Marcel Dionne becomes the first player in Los Angeles Kings history to reach 100 points. Dionne scores in a 3-3 tie with the Pittsburgh Penguins en route to 121 points.
1985: Dionne becomes the first player to get 100 points in eight seasons with an assist in a 6-0 shutout of Pittsburgh.
1991: Wayne Gretzky becomes the first player in league history with 1,400 career assists when sets all three Kings goals in a 3-3 tie with the Washington Capitals.
1992: Quebec Nordiques forward Mats Sundin gets five goals and two assists in a 10-4 win at the Hartford Whalers. The win snaps the Nords’ 33-game road winless streak.
2000: Steve Yzerman becomes the NHL’s all-time leader in assists among players who’ve spent their entire careers with one team. The Wings captain dishes out an assist in a 5-3 win over the Dallas Stars.
2019: New York Islanders coach Barry Trotz becomes the fourth coach to win 800 career games. Trotz joins Scotty Bowman, Joel Quenneville and Ken Hitchcock in the 800 club after a 5-4 shootout win over the Ottawa Senators.
Penguins captain Sidney Crosby gets to 1,200 points with a goal and two assists in a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
