Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

Our second game of NHL predictions is the backend of a home-and-home series between the New Jersey Devils and the Montreal Canadiens. Jacob Markstrom is the probable starter for the Devils, who are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. Jack Hughes leads the team in points so far this season.

Jacob Fowler is the expected starter for the Canadiens, who are winners of their last eight games in a row. Montreal got a 4-3 victory over New Jersey on Saturday night. The Habs need one point in order to book a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Cole Caufield is only one goal away from reaching the 50-goal mark.

The Habs are one point away from their second consecutive playoff appearance. Montreal should take care of business in this one.

Prediction: Canadiens win 3-2.
