Head-to-Head: Devils 1-0 Rangers

How to Watch: US TV: TNT; HBO Max. Canada TV: Sportsnet+

Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

Our opening game of NHL predictions is a Metropolitan Division matchup between the New Jersey Devils and the New York Rangers. Jacob Markstrom is the projected starter for the Devils but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. New Jersey is 6-4 in its last 10 games. However, it may be too little, too late for a team that was hoping to do more. Jesper Bratt leads the team in assists (37) and points (52).

Igor Shesterkin is the probable starter for the Blueshirts, who are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games. However, the Rangers are coming off a loss to the Los Angeles Kings in Artemi Panarin‘s return to Madison Square Garden. New York has been playing better since the trade deadline. However, this effort is also coming way too late in the season. Mika Zibanejad is tops in assists (36) and points (63).

Both teams are playing well in recent games. However, the Devils get the victory.

Prediction: Devils win 4-2.
