Our second and featured game of NHL predictions is a Central Division matchup between the Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars. Mackenzie Blackwood is the likely starter for the Avalanche, who are 6-4 in their previous 10 games. This includes three consecutive victories entering the top of the division showdown. Nathan MacKinnon has hit the 100-point mark with 41 goals and 59 assists.

Jake Oettinger is the expected starter for a red-hot Stars club. Dallas is on a 10-game winning streak and making a push for first in the Central. However, the Stars are still six points behind the Avs in the division. Jason Robertson is first on the team in goals (34) and points (72) so far this campaign.

This could shape up to be one of the games of the year. However, Dallas keeps momentum going with a hard-fought win.

Prediction: Stars win 3-2 in overtime.
