In the United States: USA Network, Peacock

Our featured game of Olympic Hockey predictions has Team USA looking to keep momentum going after that 5-1 victory over Latvia. The Americans had a pair of goals called back but eventually powered their way to open Group C play with a win. Colorado Avalanche forward Brock Nelson scored twice while Tampa Bay Lightning forward Jake Guentzel added a pair of assists.

Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck did his part to lead the Americans in goal. However, Dallas Stars netminder Jake Oettinger or Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman might get the call to allow Hellebuyck to start against Germany.

Denmark did outshoot Germany in the tournament-opener. However, the Danes couldn’t cash their chances in. Kraken forward Oscar Fisker Molgaard got the lone goal for Denmark, which will need a better effort if it wants to score an upset.

Carolina Hurricanes goalie Frederik Andersen got the start for the first game. However, we could see Senators netminder Mads Sogaard could be tabbed as the starter for this game.

Denmark does have some bigger skaters and has some NHL talent on the roster. However, the Americans should get the win.

Prediction: United States wins 5-2.
