NHL Predictions

Montreal Canadiens vs Boston Bruins

Head-to-Head: Canadiens 1-1 Bruins

How to Watch:

US TV: NESN; NHL Network

Canada TV: CBC; Sportsnet; TVA Sports

Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Our opening game of NHL predictions has old rivals getting together on Hockey Night in Canada as the Montreal Canadiens visit the Boston Bruins. Montreal is expected to give Sam Montembeault the start in goal. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Canadiens are 6-3-1 in their previous 10 games but are coming off a loss to the Buffalo Sabres last time out. Nick Suzuki leads the team in assists (41) and points (57) so far this season.

Jeremy Swayman is the probable starter for the Bruins, who are 8-2 in their last 10 games. Boston did beat the Vegas Golden Knights in its last time on ice. The Bruins have the fourth-best power play unit in the league with a 26.4 percent success rate. David Pastrnak continues to be the standard bearer for the Bruins with 21 goals and 42 assists for 63 points.

Both teams have been playing well as of late. However, Boston breaks the trend of the road team winning in this season series.

Prediction: Bruins win 4-3.
