NHL Predictions

Winnipeg Jets vs Colorado Avalanche

Series Head-to-Head: Jets 1-2 Avalanche

TV: TNT, TruTV, Sportsnet, TVAS, Altitude

Our opening and featured game of NHL predictions has the Jets trying to take the series back to Manitoba all tied at two. Connor Hellebuyck will get the start in goal for Winnipeg, which has been surprisingly under fire this post-season. Colorado has scored 18 goals in the three games, which works out to six per game. Defenceman Josh Morrissey has a pair of goals so far this series, but the defence has stop goals from going in.

Alexandar Georgiev has rebounded from a shaky Game 1 to allow only two goals per game in the last two. The Avalanche have been firing on all cylinders on offence this series. Valeri Nichushkin and Artturi Lehkonen each have three goals so far this series. Mikko Rantanen and Cale Makar have each handed out five assists in the first three games. The Avalanche are going to be a tough out if the team keeps scoring goals in this manner.

Colorado is also very tough to beat at home. The Avs take a commanding lead.

Prediction: Avalanche win 4-2.

Vancouver Canucks vs Nashville Predators

Series Head-to-Head: Canucks 2-1 Predators

TV: TBS, TruTV, Sportsnet, TVAS, BSSO

Our second game of NHL predictions has the Vancouver Canucks hoping to go up 3-1 on the Nashville Predators. Casey DeSmith likely gets the start again, but always check social media before locking in a fantasy starter. Quinn Hughes continues to play well with four assists so far this series.

Juuse Saros will get the call once again, but he’s going to need some help from the Predators’ offence if they want to even up the series. Nashville has only scored seven goals in the three games so far this series. Filip Forsberg has a goal and two assists so far.

Experts have tried to bury Nashville many times, but the Preds sent the series back to Canada tied at two.

Prediction: Predators win 3-2 in overtime.

New York Rangers vs Washington Capitals

Series Head-to-Head: Rangers 3-0 Capitals

TV: TBS, TruTV, SN 360, TVAS, SN East, SNO, SN Pacific, MNMT, MSG

The New York Rangers try to send the Washington Capitals packing to be the first team to advance to the second round. Igor Shesterkin is going to get the start again for the Rangers, who have been opportunistic all series. Mika Zibanejad has a goal and four assists while Vincent Trocheck and Chris Kreider each have a pair of goals for the Blueshirts.

Charlie Lindgren has done all he can to keep the Capitals in the series. However, this team needs goals to force the series back to Madison Square Garden. John Carlson and Martin Fehervary have been bright spots. However, Alex Ovechkin has to find a way to more involved in the offence.

We called for a sweep yesterday and didn’t get it. However, the Rangers should close this out.

Prediction: Rangers win 4-2.

Edmonton Oilers vs Los Angeles Kings

Series Head-to-Head: Oilers 2-1 Kings

TV: TBS, TruTV, Sportsnet, SN1, TVAS, BSW

Our last game of NHL predictions has the Edmonton Oilers trying to get a 3-1 series led on the Los Angeles Kings. Stuart Skinner should once again get the nod in the blue paint for Edmonton. Zach Hyman has six goals already in the first three games while Connor McDavid has a goal and eight assists.

Cam Tablot will once again get the start for the Kings, but the team has to do a better job on defence. Adrian Kempe has three assists and Drew Doughty has a pair of goals for Los Angeles, which has given up 17 goals in the first three games.

Edmonton is on a mission to put this series away at home.

Prediction: Oilers win 5-2.
