NHL Predictions

Philadelphia Flyers vs New York Rangers

Head-to-Head: Flyers 0-3 Rangers

TV: MSG; NBC Sports Philadelphia; ESPN+

Our first game of NHL predictions has the Philadelphia Flyers trying to stay alive in the Stanley Cup Playoff race. However, they’ll play a New York Rangers team with intentions of trying to clinch the Metropolitan Division. Samuel Ersson is the expected starter for the Flyers, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Philadelphia is 1-6-3 and has lost eight straight games, including a 9-3 drubbing by the Montreal Canadiens. Travis Konecny has 31 goals and 35 assists for the Flyers. Owen Tippett has scored three goals with five assists over the last 10 games.

Igor Shesterkin is the expected starter for the Rangers, who are 8-2 in the last 10 games. New York can clinch first in the Metro with a win and a Carolina Hurricanes lose in regulation. The Rangers are sixth in NHL play with 271 total goals (averaging 3.4 per game). Chris Kreider has 39 goals and 33 assists for the Rangers. Team leading-scorer and point-getter Artemi Panarin has eight goals and 13 assists over the past 10 games.

The Flyers are falling apart and need points to stay alive. However, the Rangers are annoyed after a loss to the New York Islanders.

Prediction: Rangers win 4-2.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs Florida Panthers

Head-to-Head: Blue Jackets 0-2 Panthers

TV: Bally Sports Florida; Bally Sports Ohio; ESPN+

The Florida Panthers look to stay in contention for the Atlantic Division title against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jet Greaves is the expected starter for the Blue Jackets, who are 3-7 in the last 10 and dropped two straight games. Columbus has a 26-41-12 record overall and a 10-22-7 record in road games. Kirill Marchenko has 23 goals and 18 assists for the Blue Jackets. Johnny Gaudreau has eight assists over the past 10 games.

Sergei Bobrovsky is the likely starter for the Panthers, who are 4-4-2 in the last 10 games. Florida is three points off first place in the division, which is currently held by the Boston Bruins. The Panthers have a +59 scoring differential, with 253 total goals scored and 194 conceded. Aleksander Barkov has 22 goals and 52 assists for the Panthers. Sam Reinhart has five goals and six assists over the past 10 games.

Florida is still chasing first and needs a win to clinch home ice.

Prediction: Panthers win 5-2.

Winnipeg Jets vs Dallas Stars

Head-to-Head: Jets 0-3 Stars

TV: TSN3; Bally Sports Southwest; ESPN+

Our final and featured game has the Winnipeg Jets visiting the Dallas Stars. Connor Hellebuyck is the projected starter for Winnipeg, which is 4-5-1 in the last 10. However, the Jets have won four straight games in their quest for home ice. Winnipeg is 42-5-2 when scoring three or more goals. Joshua Morrissey has nine goals and 55 assists for the Jets. Gabe Vilardi has scored four goals over the past 10 games.

Jake Oettinger is the likely starter for the Stars, who are 9-1 in the last 10 and have taken two straight games. Dallas can put a stranglehold on the division with a victory over Winnipeg. The Stars have a 21-7-2 record in games they convert at least one power play. Joe Pavelski has scored 27 goals with 39 assists for the Stars. Jamie Benn has nine goals and five assists over the last 10 games.

Dallas has frustrated Winnipeg on the scoreboard and that trend should continue.

Prediction: Stars win 3-2.
