NHL Predictions: Nov. 2 with Toronto Maple Leafs vs Boston Bruins

NHL Predictions

With the large amount of games on tonight’s NHL schedule, it might be hard to know where to start. We at the Last Word on Hockey have helped narrow your focus to our best bets. This round of NHL Predictions will help condense the slate into three best bets and one prop bet of the night.

NHL Predictions

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Boston Bruins

Head-to-Head: Maple Leafs 0-0 Bruins

TV: ESPN+, Hulu, Sportsnet Ontario

Our featured game of NHL predictions has the Toronto Maple Leafs taking on the Boston Bruins. The Leafs are an odd team and will beat the bigger clubs like the Dallas Stars. However, they had a Halloween trick against the Los Angeles Kings. Ilya Samsonov is the likely starter, but always check social media before locking in a fantasy starter. William Nylander continues his case for a big pay raise with six goals and seven assists.

Jeremy Swayman is the projected starter for the Bruins, who have yet to lose in regulation. David Pastrnak is justifying that big contract with eight goals and six assists, which leads in both categories. Boston has a stingy defence that’s tops on the penalty kill and the best at goals against. Toronto has a dynamic offence, but good defence usually trumps that.

It’ll be a good one, but the Bruins get the close victory.

Prediction: Bruins win 3-2.

Winnipeg Jets vs Vegas Golden Knights

Head-to-Head: Jets 0-1 Golden Knights

TV: Scripps; TSN3

The Winnipeg Jets get another crack at the Vegas Golden Knights in this Western Conference matchup. Vegas got a 5-3 victory in the first meeting on October 19. Winnipeg has lost two straight games and will likely roll with Connor Hellebuyck in the crease. Kyle Connor has three goals so far for Winnipeg in this young season.

Logan Thompson is the current projected starter for the Golden Knights, who have also yet to lose a regulation game. It’s been a team-effort for the Knights in the scoring department. William Karlsson is a player to watch with eight helpers this season. The Knights are fifth in goals for and sixth in goals against.

Winnipeg was a stiff challenge, but Vegas was able to crack them.

Prediction: Golden Knights win 4-2.

Vancouver Canucks vs San Jose Sharks

Head-to-Head: Canucks 0-0 Sharks

TV: Sportsnet Pacific; NBC Sports California

Our last game of NHL predictions has the Vancouver Canucks looking to prolong the San Jose Sharks misery. Thatcher Demko is the projected starter for Vancouver, which bounced back with a win on Halloween. The Canucks are third in goals for and fourth in goals against. Elias Pettersson has 11 assists and is looking to land another mega-deal.

Kaapo Kahkonen is the confirmed starter for the Sharks, who have just one point and no wins. Life doesn’t get easier with a solid Vancouver team coming to town. The Canucks have won the last four games in Northern California. Tomas Hertl has four assists and five points this season.

San Jose will play it close, but Vancouver pulls away.

Prediction: Sharks win 5-2.

Prop Bet of the Night

We go to the Detroit Red Wings taking on the Florida Panthers for our prop bet of the evening. Alex DeBrincat is looking to bounce back and we like him getting the over on 2.5 shots prop. This could be a solid play.
