Vegas Golden Knights vs Dallas Stars

Series: Golden Knights 3-0 Stars

Our featured game in NHL predictions has the Golden Knights with a chance to book their second Stanley Cup Final. The Golden Knights have flustered the Stars throughout the entire series. Adin Hill has filled in nicely in goal since Laurent Brossoit got injured. Hill will once again be the likely starter for the Golden Knights. Jack Eichel is making the most of his playoff appearance as he leads the club with 16 points while Mark Stone has 15 points. Vegas has cashed in on its opportunities and made Dallas pay for mistakes. The Knights’ defence has also been one of the best parts of the club this season. Head coach Bruce Cassidy has gotten the most out of this Vegas roster.

The Stars will once again go with Jake Oettinger in net, but he was chased last game. Dallas will also have to be without captain Jamie Benn, who was suspended for two games. The Stars haven’t been able to get much offence generated in this series. Dallas does have a good defensive unit in its own right. However, it needs to score goals in order to stay alive. Expect some different line combinations and defensive pairings from head coach Peter DeBoer in this game. The Stars need to shake things up and give leading-scorer Roope Hintz some support.

Dallas does have home ice, but Vegas has been great on the road. We should have our Stanley Cup Final matchup by the end of this one.

Prediction: Golden Knights win 4-2.
