NHL Predictions
Vegas Golden Knights vs Edmonton Oilers
Series: Golden Knights 3-2 Oilers
Our featured and only game of the NHL predictions has the Golden Knights trying to close out the series against the Oilers. Vegas bounced back after a shaky Game 4 to give itself an edge. The Knights survived an early deficit to rally past the Oilers for a 4-3 victory. Adin Hill will likely get the start once again for Vegas. However, check social media before locking in your fantasy hockey starter. Vegas will have to be better at killing penalties because Edmonton once again scored with the extra-man unit. Jack Eichel leads the team in points with 13 while Mark Stone is second with 12. Alex Pietrangelo will be back from his one-game suspension in this one.
Stuart Skinner is projected to be the starter, but the Jack Campbell question always looms. The Oilers have been up-and-down at times in the series. Edmonton hasn’t been able to follow up great games this entire series. That inconsistency has put the club on the edge of elimination. However, Edmonton has been able to bounce back after each loss in the series. Leon Draistaitl and Connor McDavid have been very good in victories for the Oilers. Some help from the supporting cast would be great, but the Knights have been good at locking down the two stars in wins. Darnell Nurse will also return to the lineup after a one-game suspension.
The pattern has been odd, but it seems like an established one. Edmonton gets the win and forces a Game 7 in Vegas.
Prediction: Oilers win 4-2.
