This is not the first time this has been brought up, but the outdoor hockey game is headed North. In addition, it will feature different teams that are not Boston or Pittsburgh. The site for this event could take place in the Meadowlands at Met Life Stadium. With that being the site, the New Jersey Devils could be one of the teams in this game. The event takes place everywhere and had a great turnout in Raleigh, North Carolina.

This is great for New Jersey. With the team being good again and had made the playoffs, getting a game of this magnitude is great for the franchise. New Jersey last played in the outdoor game at Yankee Stadium against the New York Rangers. With those two destined to square off in round one, playing each other in the outdoor event would be great for the league. It also gives the Devils a chance to showcase their young stars for the world to see. Jack Hughes is a super star and Nico Hischier has emerged as a great two way centre. New Jersey also has other division rivals that they can play as well. The Philadelphia Flyers come to mind as well as the New York Islanders. Their current General Manager once built the Devils to its glory days. The 2024 Stadium Series will be something to monitor further as to where this will take place.
