NHL Predictions: San Jose Sharks vs Nashville Predators

San Jose Sharks vs Nashville Predators

Head-to-Head: Sharks 0 – 0 Predators

The start of the regular season is here and takes place in the Czech Republic as part of the global series, which is returning for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.

At eye level, Nashville looks to be the clear front-runner for this game. Nashville was a playoff team last year and actually put up a solid fight in the playoffs despite them being in a bit of a retool the past few years. Meanwhile, the Sharks have been in a total rebuild, and don’t look to have a strong year.

Although, they have improved, and added solid depth pieces like Oskar Lindblom to the roster. With that, they should put up a half-decent fight against the Predators, and this game shouldn’t be an absolute blowout. Hey, the sharks will also debut their new uniforms in the first regular season game. They have been wearing them in the preseason, and fans seem to be warming up to them.

Despite the fact that the Sharks have made a step in the right direction, the Predators have too strong of a roster for the Sharks to have a chance at winning the first game of the season. Unless of course, the Sharks shock the world and stun the Predators, which kicks their season off on a positive note.

Prediction: Predators win 3-1
