Ottawa Senators Offseason Review

Alex is back with another incredibly busy week of action! Today, he will be looking at the Ottawa Senators Offseason. Pierre Dorion has been on a mission this summer, and the moves have been plentiful. Joining him to break it all down is Silver Seven writer, Trevor Shackles! Trevor has joined Alex twice before and today, the guys have a ton to talk about.

They start with the first piece that happened since the last podcast. And that would be Ottawa acquiring Cam Talbot in net. They discuss what it means for Ottawa’s goalie situation both now and going forward. From there, they take a look at two massive signings in Claude Giroux and Joshua Norris. The guys discuss whether or not Giroux is the biggest free agent signing the Sens have ever had. As well, they also talk about the risk that comes with a Norris signing.

Finally, the guys switch their attention to what kind of deals they want to see for remaining RFA’s in Ottawa. As well as how they want to see the right side of the defence upgraded upon.

Who is Alex Metzger? Alex is from the Waterloo region in Ontario, Canada. He grew up playing hockey and shortly after fell in love with analyzing it.  Alex is a die-hard Senators fan and has been his whole life… Despite growing up in the middle of Leaf land.
