NHL Predictions Featuring Vegas Golden Knights vs Los Angeles Kings

Vegas Golden Knights vs Los Angeles Kings

Head-to-Head: Knights 5 – 2 Kings

Our featured game will be the eighth and final meeting between the Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights. Los Angeles has struggled at home as they surrendered four of their past five home games. Vegas Golden Knights snatched their third consecutive victory Monday evening versus the Los Angeles Kings with a score of 4-2. The Kings began well to take a two-goal lead only to let Vegas storm four goals to take the victory.

In Calvin Petersen‘s recent performance on Monday, the netminder made 37 saves posting a .902 save percentage. It could be possible the Kings go with the youngster tonight after his previous outing. Anze Kopitar, Alex Iafallo and Dustin Brown all have a three-game point streak going. The Kings have won three of their last 10 games, needing a win to steer from a losing streak.

Max Pacioretty reached a milestone grabbing his 300th NHL goal on the powerplay. The Veteran leads the Knights with 20 goals on the season. Marc-Andre Fleury holds an 18-10-0 record on the season with a .925 save percentage. Fleury has a 10-8-4 career record against Los Angeles with a .918 save percentage. The Golden Knights are first in the league when it comes to goals against with 94 against and is 11th in most goals scored with 132.

Prediction: Knights Win: 5-3

Anaheim Ducks vs San Jose Sharks

Head-to-Head: Ducks 3 – 4 Sharks

The second and final West division matchup will see the Anaheim Ducks battle it out with San Jose Sharks. Each team has just two wins in their last five games played. It seems that the Ducks have only found success putting the puck in the net while facing the Sharks. The Ducks have scored nine times in their last two meetings versus San Jose. During Anaheim’s other three games versus other opponents, the team has registered just three goals.

Seven points separate the two teams, where San Jose owns 40 points, while Anaheim sits at the bottom in the West with 33 points. The Sharks have hit the back of the net just eight times in their last five games while allowing 13 goals. The way the two teams have stacked up recently, going with Anaheim seems the likely route.

Prediction: Anaheim Win: 3-2
