NHL Predictions

Nashville Predators vs. Dallas Stars

Head-to-head: Predators 0-2 Stars

Lead by Joe Pavelski, the Dallas Stars face-off against Filip Forsberg and the Nashville Predators in what was supposed to be on back-to-back nights. The two teams are meeting just 24-hours after their ‘reverse-retro game’ is cancelled due to severe weather conditions. Regardless, the rivalry between the Predators and Stars has grown these past few years tremendously. With both teams finding success in the playoffs in the more recent past, these fan-bases have erased any notion of a “non-traditional” hockey market.

Continuing, the Stars will come into tonight’s game quite confident; after winning four of their last six home games against the Predators. The Stars will look to make it a fifth win; Yet, they should never overlook their foes to the North. Heading into Dallas tonight, Nashville will have to be on their A-game tonight as the Stars defensive structure can wear down the best opponent. Overall, this will be a fun and gritty matchup that we could all use to excite our Tuesday night!

Prediction: Nashville wins 4-2

*The NHL has announced the postponement of the Stars and Predators due to the continued weather issues in Texas*

Colorado Avalanche vs. Vegas Golden Knights

Head-to-head: Avalanche 0-1 Golden Knights

Speaking of entertaining, the Colorado Avalanche face-off against the Vegas Golden Knights for the second time in just three days. This will be the last “warm-up” game for these two hockey clubs before they head off to Lake Tahoe for an incredible hockey experience. Previously meeting for the first time on Sunday night, the Golden Knights were able to squeak out a 1-0 win over the Avalanche off a Max Pacioretty goal that came in the second period. Going into tonight’s game, the Avalanche look to get even with the Golden Knights while moving closer to the top of the standings.

Looking at tonight’s game, these two teams are such a joy to watch. With tons of high-end skill on both sides of the ice, this game is definitely the marquee match-up of these games slated for later. With that, we will enjoy watching Cale Makar take on Shea Theodore as they are both expected to play. Colorado will be looking for revenge now that they will have a boost on the blue-line. The ‘Avs’ should be able to close this one out.

Prediction: Avalanche wins 3-1

Minnesota Wild vs. Los Angeles Kings

Head-to-head: Wild 3-1 Kings

After breaking a five-game losing streak last Thursday night, the Los Angeles Kings look to win another. So far, this series has been a decently high scoring one. With both teams combining for 25 goals in the four games, they have played against each other. Tonight’s game will likely follow that same pattern.

With the Minnesota Wild only one point in front of the Kings; and only a few points behind the fourth spot in the Honda West Division, the Wild can not afford to lose this contest tonight. Yet, the King’s long-time veterans are here to disrupt the party. With Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brownand Drew Doughty leading the team in points, this brings flashbacks of the Stanley Cup-winning teams these three were significant parts in. Even though things are much different now, the Kings will find a way to crawl one inch closer to a playoff spot.

Prediction: Kings win 5-3
