Ottawa Senators Offseason

Alex is back after a week off due to a lack of things to talk about. However, today he is joined by a writer for The Athletic NHL, Dom Luszczyszyn. Dom joins the podcast to discuss his thoughts on the Ottawa Senators offseason. Giving his take on how they spent their money as well as which signings he liked and disliked. Alex and Dom discuss the ups and downs of acquiring lots of “grit” players for a young team.

They also get into what a Canadian division would mean for the Senators in this upcoming year. Does it change their projected outcome at all? As well, what other teams benefit and suffer from this division being formed? Finally, they get into a few players to watch this year as well as a debate about Dougie Hamilton vs Seth Jones and why public perception is so much different than what the analytics say. Tune in for all of that and more, with the Last Word on Sens Podcast!
