NHL and NHLPA Discussions

LISTEN TO THE EPISODE HERE!

In episode 49 of the podcast, the boys review a quiet news week. They discuss the QMJHL pause, and the strong likelihood of a Canadian team-only division next season. Next up on the list is the war of words between Logan Paul and Evander Kane. The three briefly entertain the idea of some NHL-ers stepping into the ring for a theoretical fight. Tom Wilson, Ryan Reaves, and even goalie Robin Lehner are brought up as potential candidates.

Lastly, the trio talks about the NHL and NHLPA discussions, or rather, lack thereof. Disputes between owners and players is the main reason for a delay in talks, and the season could also be delayed. A January 1st start date is looking less and less likely, to the dismay of hockey fans everywhere. A few teams, including the Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Los Angeles Kings have been considering playing their games outdoors, with limited attendance. On one hand, this would generate revenue, but the boys discuss how this may be an unreasonable solution. All this and more on episode 49, and be sure to stay tuned for episode 50 coming out next Friday!

Who are Logan, Raffi, and Noah? Put simply, they are three high school friends who bonded over their strong love for hockey, and decided to share their thoughts with the world via podcast. All three are die-hard Blackhawks fans, but Logan also cheers for the Hurricanes and Raffi also roots for the Bruins. You can find Logan and Noah’s articles on https://lastwordonsports.com/hockey/
