FPL Tips: Three Midfielders You Need to Transfer in for Gameweek 6 Including ‘Fantastic’ Footballer

Three Midfielders to Transfer in for FPL Gameweek 12

Mohamed Salah – Liverpool (vs Southampton) – £12.9 Million

This weekend, it’s top versus bottom as Arne Slot’s Liverpool face a Southampton side searching desperately for more points to get themselves off the base of the table.

Liverpool are no doubt the Premier League’s most in-form side as the only team in the division unbeaten in their last five matches. As such, it only seems right that FPL’s highest scorer Mohamed Salah (107) should be the high-cost pick this weekend.

The Egyptian has eight goals this season and is currently on a run of four goals and two assists in his last four matches, so it will take a superhuman effort for the Saints to stop the 32-year old and the rest of the Liverpool side, having taken zero points off any of the three current top six sides they have played so far.

Salah has seven goals and four assists in his career against Southampton, so if he doesn’t contribute this Sunday, it could well be the shock of the weekend.

Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United (vs Ipswich Town) – £8.4 Million

Ruben Amorim will take charge as Manchester United’s new manager for the first time this Sunday and he has a great opportunity to get his first win under his belt against an Ipswich Town side who will be bouncing following their 2-1 win over Tottenham before the international break.

Ruud van Nistelrooy left his post as the Red Devils’ interim post with a draw and a win in his two league matches but they still sit 13th. However, a win could push them into the top half if other results go their way and Bruno Fernandes could be the man to help that cause. The United captain has two goals and an assist in his last three matches and the infamous “new manager bounce”  could be the key that spurs them on to victory this weekend.

Pedro Neto – Chelsea (vs Leicester City) – £6.2 Million

Pedro Neto is starting to show just why Chelsea paid big money to take him off Wolves’ hands over the summer, producing performances akin to the ones he put in at Molineux that made him one of the most sought-after wingers around. The Portuguese enters Gameweek 12 off the back of a crucial, stunning goal against Arsenal before the international break which ensured Chelsea remained in third, and he’ll be out to make sure he can do the same again this weekend against Leicester. Described as a ‘game changer‘ by Shaka Hislop, the 24-year old is surely guaranteed to make his fourth consecutive league start as the Blues look to put a little pressure on Manchester City in second place.
