Ahead of FPL Gameweek 12, here are three forwards to consider bringing in to get some big points ahead of a busy winter period.
Three Forwards to Transfer in for FPL Gameweek 12
Nicolas Jackson – Chelsea (vs Leicester City) – £7.9 Million
Chelsea’s Senegalese bagsman Nicolas Jackson is already on six goals for the season, one off half of his total league tally for last campaign, and despite not scoring in his past two matches, this weekend could be normal service resumed against a Leicester side who have conceded seven since their last victory on October 19.

The fourth-highest-scoring forward in FPL after Erling Haaland (82), Chris Wood (68) and Danny Welbeck (64), Jackson’s 60 points for the season shouldn’t be sniffed at. With the Blues only failing to score in a league game once this season (against Manchester City in their opening game of the season), all roads point to a dominant Chelsea performance and potentially some more goals for Jackson.
Chris Wood – Nottingham Forest (vs Arsenal) – £6.6 Million
The league’s Player of the Month for October and the second-highest scorer in the division, Chris Wood comes into this weekend’s game with five goals in his last five matches. The New Zealand international also bagged five goals across his nation’s two World Cup qualifying games against Samoa and Vanuatu, boosting his confidence going into Forest’s clash with an out-of-sorts Arsenal. On a run of four games without a win, the Gunners have looked a shadow of their usual selves and a loss this weekend could see Forest go above them in the table which could heap further pressure on Mikel Arteta.
Last season, this fixture would have been seen as an expected win for Arsenal, but now with Wood in some of the best Premier League form of his career and Arteta’s side looking shaky, don’t be surprised if Wood ruffles some more Gunners feathers.
Joao Pedro – Brighton (vs Bournemouth) – £5.5 Million
Brighton come into this match against Bournemouth with a massive victory over Manchester City under their belt; Joao Pedro was key to their win, grabbing the equaliser and the assist for Matt O’Riley’s winner. The Brazilian has played just five league games this campaign, starting three games, but his three goals and one assist have seen him rack up 30 points in FPL so far.

Bournemouth enter Gameweek 12 unable to build on their November 2 win over Manchester City, losing 3-2 to Brentford in their last match before the international break despite being 2-1 up, so if there’s ever a chance to heap a little more misery on Bournemouth, now is the time for Brighton to do it and Joao Pedro could be key should he be rewarded with a start this weekend.
