Here are three solid defenders to transfer in who could bring some crucial clean sheets for FPL Gameweek 12.
Three Defenders To Transfer in For FPL Gameweek 12
Virgil van Dijk – Liverpool (vs Southampton) – £6.3 Million
At just £6.3 million, Virgil van Dijk remains a serious steal for FPL players, even in November. One of the best, if not the best defender in the league this season, the Dutchman has played every minute in the league this term and with just six goals conceded so far, he has to be a pick for the weekend against a side who are the lowest scorers in the division.

Southampton also haven’t beaten Liverpool in any competition since 2021 and it’s expected that that run will continue on Sunday.
James Tarkowski – Everton (vs Brentford) – £4.8 Million
James Tarkowski and Everton are on an impressive run of two goals conceded in their last four matches, their best run of the campaign so far. They now face a Brentford side who managed to overcome a Bournemouth side who failed to hold onto their 2-1 lead against the Bees.
While the first part of the season was rough for the Toffees, they’ve improved dramatically in recent weeks, especially at the back and when Sean Dyche sides are on it defensively, they usually get the job done and that could be the case this weekend.
Joachim Andersen – Fulham (vs Wolves) – £4.3 Million
Fulham are one of the league’s most in-form teams at the moment, unbeaten in three and winning their last two. In that time, they’ve conceded two and scored five. This is the second consecutive week that they will have faced a side in the bottom four, with 19th-placed Wolves coming to Craven Cottage this weekend after Marco Silva’s charges beat 18th-placed Crystal Palace before the international break.

Wolves beat basement dwellers Southampton last time out but this time it will be a much tougher test and as a result, Fulham will be keeping their second consecutive clean sheet for the first time this term and low-cost option Joachim Andersen will be a big reason why.
