How West Ham Have Lined up Recently
Alphonse Areola has started every Premier League match for West Ham so far this season, yet has only kept one clean sheet which came in a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace in the second match of the season. The defence has been consistent, with a four at the back. This has consisted of Emerson at left-back, Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Tobido as the centre-back pairing and Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back. The last time the Hammers kept a clean sheet in all competitions came in the Carabao Cup first round, where West Ham won 1-0 at home to AFC Bournemouth.

The midfield has also been consistent, with Lopetegui preferring two defensive midfielders. This has usually been between Edson Alvarez and Guido Rodriguez, with Tomas Soucek alternating between them both. Mohammed Kudus has consistently played alongside Lucas Paqueta whilst Jarrod Bowen is in attacking midfield. However, due to his suspension, Crysencio Summerville took his place last match, scoring the opening goal of the match. Michail Antonio is the man up front for West Ham.
West Ham Recent Form
West Ham have been in a very mixed period of form, winning two of their last five Premier League matches, with wins coming against Ipswich Town and Manchester United. Despite this, the last time the Hammers have won away all season came against Crystal Palace, early on.

In their last match, West Ham beat Manchester United 2-1 thanks to a last-minute controversial penalty which was converted by Bowen. This result ended Erik Ten Hag’s tenure as Manchester United manager, who was sacked just 24 hours after the defeat. In the match, Manchester United dominated possession and had more shots and shots on target, albeit, the hosts had a much higher xG of 3.00. This result moves the London-based club up to 13th, leapfrogging United in the process.
West Ham Injuries for Lopetegui to consider
The Hammers have two absences for their away trip to Nottingham tomorrow. Summer signing Niclas Fullkrug is still absent from an Achilles tendon injury, in which he picked up on September 9. Speaking last week about the injury, Lopetegui stated “It’s a complicated injury, we are still waiting to recover him”.
Another player who is absent is Kudus, who is still serving his suspension from the match against Tottenham, in which despite scoring early in the game, he was sent off in added time for violent conduct. He will be available on Monday, November 25, when they play Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
