How Bayern Munich Have Lined Up Recently
The team started their victory last Sunday over VfL Bochum as follows: Manuel Neuer was in goal. Alphonso Davies and Konrad Laimer took up their positions on the flanks of the back four. Meanwhile, Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano played in the centre of the defence.
Joao Palhinha joined Joshua Kimmich in the holding midfield positions, as Kingsley Coman, Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise and Harry Kane made up the front four.

Kompany made three changes compared to the previous defeat in Barcelona. Laimer, Coman and Musiala came in to the starting 11 for Raphael Guerreiro, Serge Gnabry, and Thomas Müller. This was pretty radical restructuring by Kompany’s standards, but he had to react to the poor showing in Spain.
Bayern Munich Recent Form and Tactics
Bayern have had two big victories in their last three competitive outings. But the loss in between them was the painful defeat in Barcelona. Die Roten only have two wins in their last six matches in all competitions.

There has been some criticism in the media about Kompany’s refusal to change his attack-minded tactics for a more pragmatic approach when needed. But most people in and around the club admire the style of football the new boss has brought to the team and they acknowledge that the players need time to adjust. Yet, time is a commodity Bayern coaches seldom get much of.
Bayern Munich Injuries to Consider
Hiroki Ito, Sacha Boey, Josip Stanisic and Aleksandar Pavlovic still remain out for the time being. The first three of those listed should return to training in the days and weeks ahead. Pavlovic will still need some more time to recover.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said: “Sacha Boey is training with the ball again and will join team training in the coming days. We hope he can be available again soon.
“Hiroki Ito had a little setback but is now making progress again. We hope he can re-join near the international break. With Josip Stanisic it’ll still be a while.”
