What Did Ange Postecoglou Say About Son & Co?

The Lilywhites have been without their inspiring captain since before their 3-0 battering of Manchester United at Old Trafford. He has missed a number of games, but appears to have made a lot of progress on his fitness during the October international break and is now ready to make his comeback. Not just that, Tottenham are also ready to welcome back forward Richarlison into their squad as well as exciting summer signing Lucas Bergvall.

Ange Postecoglou delivered this positive update on the injury returns, stating: “Sonny and Richy have done some good work and trained with the group, which is a real positive for us. Sonny was always hopefully going to get through this international break really well and be ready and Richy has done some good work, so hopefully both [will be] available for the weekend.”

How Will Son’s Return Impact Tottenham?

The Spurs supporters will welcome Son’s return with open arms. The South Korean is likely to replace Timo Werner in the starting XI as the German forward has struggled for goal contributions this season (one assist in eight appearances) much to the frustration of the fans.

Son has been in good form so far this campaign with four goal contributions (two goals, two assists) in five league appearances. The 32-year-old, who reached an “incredible” milestone of becoming Tottenham’s fifth-highest goal-scorer in history last season, will look to improve his side’s goal-scoring prowess by putting his clutch finishing skills to good use. With Son also looking for a new long-term deal, he’ll look to make an impactful return from injury and get Spurs back on winning momentum, beginning with a victory over West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
