Another week of exciting clashes in the Premier League awaits us as the FPL players look to make the best choices for their teams. Last Word on Football recommends three goalkeepers you should consider transferring in for your FPL Gameweek 7 squad, with the deadline set for 11:00 AM BST on October 5.
Three Goalkeepers to Transfer in for FPL Gameweek 7
David Raya (£5.6m)
Thanks to his three clean sheets and a series of impressive saves, David Raya is currently the costliest keeper in FPL. He is selected by over 30% of the FPL teams, while even Alisson Becker and Ederson Moraes are picked by less than 10% of the contestants.

Raya and Arsenal host Southampton on Saturday and hope to deny the visitors any goal-scoring opportunity. The Saints have the worst attack in the league, with just three goals scored so far. It is hard to believe they will improve on those statistics against Mikel Arteta’s men.
Raya was unlucky to miss out on a shutout in the game against Leicester City due to a deflected goal and a stunning strike from James Justin. However, the Spaniard should comfortably get his fourth clean sheet against Southampton.
Nick Pope (£5.0m)
Nick Pope might have just one clean sheet this season, but he has been among the best goalkeepers in the league. The Englishman is instrumental in Newcastle United’s fight for a Champions League place.
Against Manchester City on Saturday, the “brilliant” Pope made five saves and helped his team deny victory for the defending champions. He will look to continue the good work against Everton this weekend.

Everton’s attack is struggling, and they have registered just one league win. The Toffees’ xG is just 6.1, the fourth lowest in the league. This should sound sweet to the Magpies’ defence and Pope as they look to help their team return from Goodison Park with a win and a clean sheet.
Mads Hermansen (£4.5m) – A Cost-Effective Option for Gameweek 7
If not for Mads Hermansen, Leicester would have received a sound thrashing from Arsenal last week. The shot-stopper had turned into prime Manuel Neuer at the Gunners’ home and ended up making a whopping 13 saves. His total for the season is 31, the highest in the league.

Leicester host Bournemouth in Gameweek 7, which gives Hermansen a good chance of claiming his first clean sheet of the season. At £4.5m, he represents good value for money for any FPL contestant looking for a low-cost option. The Dane is bound to get picked up by more teams thanks to the incredible show he put on at the Emirates.
