Compared to the last game before the international break, coach Vincent Kompany made three changes to the lineup, bringing in Boey, Palhinha, and Coman for Aleksandar Pavlovic, Mathys Tel, and Michael Olise. He also changed the 3-4-2-1 formation back to Bayern’s traditional 4-2-3-1.

Bayern Munich Recent Form and Tactics

The team have won their opening three Bundesliga matches for the first time in years and have also advanced to the second round of the domestic cup. Even the dominance that was somewhat lacking in the previous games, was clearly there against Kiel, so that not even Bayern’s harshest critics had much to complain about so far.

In terms of tactics, the plan to dominate Kiel from the start worked perfectly. It is to be expected that Dinamo will not make it so easy for the Bavarians. The 4-0 halftime lead at the weekend gave Kompany a chance to rest players early, so that not many changes will be necessary for the starting lineup this time around. The 4-2-3-1 formation will likely also stay.

Bayern Munich Injuries to Consider

While Josip Stanisic, Hiroki Ito, and backup keeper Daniel Peretz still remain out, Boey will also miss the match due to injury.
