Chelsea Team News

Robert Sanchez starts in goal. Axel Disasi comes in alongside Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill, and Marc Cucurella. Renato Veiga also starts which could mean there’s a back five, or he’s playing as a more traditional defensive midfielder.

Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer play as the other two central midfielders with Pedro Neto on the left, Noni Madueke on the right, and Nicolas Jackson as the striker

New signing Jadon Sancho is on the bench alongside Filip Jorgensen, Tosin, Benoit Badiashile, Cesare Casadei, Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Christopher Nkunku, and Marc Guiu

Chelsea Lineup: Sanchez, Disasi, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella, Veiga, Caicedo, Palmer, Neto, Madueke, Jackson

Notable Changes

The big news is the absence of Enzo Fernandez who doesn’t even get a spot on the bench, Veiga is his replacement although the former Basel man is likely going to play deep with Caicedo pushing up to occupy Fernandez’s spot.

Disasi comes in at right back to replace the injured Gusto and James, he has played there twice already in the Conference League in this campaign.
