FPL Tips: The Attackers You Should Transfer in for Gameweek Three

Gameweek Three of the 2024/25 Premier League season is getting ever nearer, so here are three attackers that should be brought in this weekend.

Three FPL Attackers to Transfer in for Gameweek Three

Joao Pedro – Brighton – £5.5 Million

At just £5.5 million, our low-cost option for this weekend is Joao Pedro. Brighton have got off to a storming start this season, beating Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park in their first match and leaving it late last weekend to take all three points against Manchester United, with the Brazilian scoring the winner and being given Man of the Match against the latter.

His link-up play against the Red Devils was a sight to behold as Erik ten Hag‘s side struggled to keep him contained and he’ll be hoping to replicate that performance against Arsenal.

That will be no easy feat though, with Mikel Arteta’s side looking as strong as ever in the opening couple of matches. However, their opponents of last weekend in Aston Villa could easily have scored themselves some goals, so that will give Brighton and Pedro some much-needed confidence as they look to stunt the Gunners’ perfect start to the campaign. With their dangermen in Kaoru Mitoma and the lively Yankuba Minteh out wide, Pedro will be hoping for plenty of service on Saturday.

Rodrigo Muniz – Fulham – £6.1 Million

For our medium-cost option, Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz could be an intelligent pick-up this weekend. The Cottagers play another newly-promoted side in Ipswich on Saturday after facing Leicester last weekend, so Marco Silva’s side will see this as another big opportunity at three more points after beating the Foxes 2-1.

The signing of Emile Smith-Rowe has given Fulham a new lease of life, as they have begun to create plenty of chances and their 18 shots against Leicester proved that they can now cause a lot of problems for opponents going forward. With the impressive Muniz upfront against an Ipswich side who’ve had a tough start to life in the Premier League – conceding six goals against Liverpool and Manchester City combined so far – fans will feel confident that their Brazilian talisman can get off the mark this season as he looks to better his 2023/24 goal tally of nine.

Ollie Watkins – Aston Villa – £9.0 Million

Our high-cost option for this weekend comes in the form of Ollie Watkins, who will be keen to get his Aston Villa side back to winning ways following an unfortunate defeat to Arsenal in their last game.
