Arsenal Plan Audacious ‘Swoop’ for ‘Exceptional’ Serial Winner

Arsenal's 'Marquee Signing' to be 'Assessed' Following National Team Injury: Riccardo Calafiori

Arsenal fans’ wish for their side to buy an attacking player might finally come true with the club planning to make a late move for Kingsley Coman.

Arsenal Show Interest in Kingsley Coman From Bayern Munich

Saudi Arabian Clubs Pose Competition

According to the Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel, Arsenal are hoping to sign Bayern Munich’s Coman before the transfer deadline. The Gunners have been searching for a suitable forward player throughout the summer and the French winger might be the man they go for.

This “swoop” for Coman will depend on the financial aspects of the transfer. He earns around £300,000 per week at Bayern, which might be slightly out of Arsenal’s reach, but certainly not out of the Saudi Arabian clubs’ reach.

Arsenal are said to face serious competition from the Saudi clubs, who have been showering players with lucrative contracts in order to convince them of a move to the Middle East. It shouldn’t come as a surprise if one of those sides follows suit in Coman’s case.

Do High-Scoring Arsenal Need a Winger?

Arsenal have not struggled with goals in their last two league campaigns, scoring 88 and 91 in 2022/23 and 2023/24 respectively. The latter was a club record. Despite this, they have been craving for a world-class forward, though not necessarily a striker.

One reason for the search for an attacker is the lack of goals from their strikers. Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, and Kai Havertz have all flattered to deceive, though the German had found his form in the second-half of last season and has started well this season.

With Nketiah close to joining Crystal Palace and Jesus getting injured frequently, Arsenal might be short of depth. Moreover, left-winger Gabriel Martinelli has been struggling for form.

Right now, Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka are the best finishers at the Emirates. However, Arsenal can’t depend on the pair for an entire season, thus making the signing of a forward mandatory.

In Coman, they will be getting an experienced player who knows a thing or two about winning. The “exceptional” star has won league medals in France, Italy, and Germany and might prove to be the X-factor Arsenal need to lift the EPL trophy in May.
