Arsenal might soon add another player to their outgoing transfers list, with Serie A side Bologna willing to take Jakub Kiwior on loan.
Loan Move to Bologna on the Cards for Jakub Kiwior?
Arsenal Undecided on Kiwior’s Future
Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Bologna are interested in submitting what he describes as a ‘costly’ loan offer for Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior. The offer includes an option to buy. However, whether the Gunners are willing to accept such a proposal is unclear.

Despite not being injured, Kiwior was left out of the Arsenal squad for the season opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers. This raised questions about the Pole’s future in North London.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano had earlier stated there was a “serious possibility” of Kiwior leaving Arsenal in this window. He added that the defender was open to returning to Italy.
It is also to be noted that during the negotiations between Bologna and Arsenal involving Riccardo Calafiori, Kiwior’s name did come up. But the player wasn’t keen on joining the Italian club despite being offered the chance to play in the Champions League.
Apart from Bologna, Fiorentina were also said to be interested in Kiwior.
Is Kiwior’s Place at Arsenal Under Threat?
The former Bologna defender Calafiori was brought in to replace Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko. He is an upgrade on the Arsenal players and should soon feature regularly for the Gunners.

As things stand, Kiwior has no way of getting into the starting lineup this season. He has Calafiori, Zinchenko, and Jurrien Timber above him in the pecking order. Though he was a “really consistent” in the team last season, he might not get enough playing minutes this time.
Kiwior can get a regular run of games only if the above-mentioned players fall prey to a long-term injury. But he will not be ready to wait for something like that to happen and would want to start games soon. Thus, the only option for him is to leave Arsenal.
