England international Kieran Trippier is said to be wanting a move away from Newcastle this transfer window with Everton being one of his suitors
Everton Exploring Loan Move
As reported by David Ornstein, The Toffees are looking to secure the former Atletico Madrid defender with a loan move. The 33-year-old back is looking for first-team football after falling out of favour on the Tyneside. The right-back faces stiff competition from Tino Livramento for the starting role in Newcastle, with the 21-year-old getting the start for the Magpies opening day fixture.

This would be a stark contrast from the position that both the club and player held in the last transfer window. Bayern Munich had placed a £12.8m bid that was ultimately rejected. Trippier told the BBC at the time he was ‘100% committed’ to the club.
Everton’s Right Back Worries
Everton has had an eventful window despite many concerns over their financial stability heading into this season. Despite the signing of four first-team players the squad still has noticeable weaknesses.
The biggest hole within the team is the right-back position, club captain Seamus Coleman is nearing the end of his career while Scottish international Nathan Patterson has fallen out of favour with manager Sean Dyche.

The lack of depth at the position was noticeable in the Toffees season opener against Brighton where Ashley Young started the game on the right of defence. Young then went on to earn a red card suspending him for the upcoming cixture against Tottenham Hotspur on August 24.
Everton will go into this game with no fit right-backs and will likely start either Michael Keane or Mason Holgate on the right of defence if they are to stick with the four-defender system.
Does Kieran Trippier Fit At Everton
Trippier looks to be the ideal signing for Everton this window. An experienced player who can come in on loan, easing the club’s financial difficulties. The fullback is also an excellent crosser of the ball, a key feature in The Toffees attack. The former Spurs player has also been described as a ‘defensive animal‘, something that will gain much affection from Dyche and the fans alike.
A loan move also allows the club to focus on signing a younger fullback next summer instead of rushing to complete a deal before the transfer window ends. The team notably prioritised youth this transfer window with no signings being over 24.
