Three New Stars: Bayern Munich Predicted Lineup for 2024/25 Season

Bayern Munich were expected to have a busy transfer window this summer, especially given the fact that they had their first trophyless season in the 11 years last term. The idea was that too many players on the team’s books had grown too content and were not hungry enough, after more than a decade of continued success. However, so far, the board have struggled to find interested clubs willing to pay reasonable prices. In some cases, the players have decided to continue fighting for their place in the side. As new coach Vincent Kompany took over in July with new ideas of his own, Last Word on Football has put together a Bayern Munich predicted lineup for the 2024/25 season.

Players Departing Bayern Munich This Summer

Only Bouna Sarr and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting have left the club from last season’s squad on a permanent basis. In both cases, the player’s contract expired and was not renewed by the club. Neither of them has yet found a new team. Apart from them, new summer signing Bryan Zaragoza, who came in on loan in January from Granada CF, failed to impress during his first six months in the Bavarian capital. He has been loaned to CA Osasuna for the time being.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are completing deals for both Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt with arrivals imminent. Kompany sees seemingly no future in Munich for Leon Goretzka, while Kingsley Coman may also be on his way out. Furthermore, Alphonso Davies has long been rumoured to be leaving the club as well, with a year left on his contract.

Three New Arrivals at Bayern Munich, as Two Others Return

Eric Dier’s loan move from Tottenham Hotspur was made permanent automatically, due to the number of appearances he had last season. Meanwhile, Josip Stanisic has returned from a successful loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen.
