How Much Will United Get From Selling Wan-Bissaka?

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Englishman is in London on Sunday (11 August) to undergo his medical tests before completing his proposed move to West  Ham United. He further mentions that “He will sign five year contract later today.”

Romano states that Wan-Bissaka will be signing a five-year contract with the Hammers until 2029 as he embarks on this new chapter in his career. This comes after it was already reported that the Red Devils have agreed with West Ham to sell the full-back to them for a fee of about £15 million. Manchester United are open to letting him leave as they are also finalising the signings of defender Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich, with the latter ready to act as a like-for-like replacement for the Englishman.

What Did He Achieve In His United Career?

Wan-Bissaka, reportedly on 100k per week at Old Trafford, joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace in 2019 after making a name for himself with the Eagles. He made himself a first-choice regular under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but his reputation in the squad has diminished over the period as Erik ten Hag doesn’t seem to see him as a crucial player in his long-term plans.

The 26-year-old will be leaving Old Trafford after having made 190 appearances for the Red Devils, helping them win the 2022/23 Carabao Cup and the 2023/24 FA Cup titles. He was also hailed as the “world’s best” by James Maddison for his one-on-one defending skills and is renowned for his sturdy defensive ability.
