How Arsenal Have Lined-up Recently

Against Leverkusen, Arsenal were electric right from the beginning and scored twice within the first ten minutes. Jesus added one more in the first half before Havertz turned the match into a rout with a fourth in the 65th minute. Adam Hlozek scored a consolation goal for the visitors as the home side won 4-1.

Arteta’s decision to deploy youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly as an inverted left-back is paying rich dividends after another positive outing in the Leverkusen game. He and Ethan Nwaneri were praised for the “quality” they displayed during the match. Both youngsters look ready for a consistent run in the senior squad for the upcoming season, though the duo will likely be benched for this match as first-team stars get their final preparation minutes in.

Arsenal Injuries to Consider

Jurrien Timber and new signing Riccardo Calafiori were absent for the Leverkusen game. The Dutch defender might also miss the Lyon match due to the little discomfort in his foot. However, the Italian is expected to make the bench on Sunday.
