How Much Will Spurs Receive for Emerson?

Fabrizio Romano has given his ‘Here We Go’ to confirm that the Lilywhites have struck an agreement with Italian giants AC Milan over the transfer of Emerson. The journalist states that the Brazilian had struck an agreement with AC Milan on personal terms way back in May as he only wanted to join them despite getting proposals from four or five other clubs. He adds that the Spurs and Milan are now “exchanging documents” to complete the deal as soon as possible. They terminated the contract of Tanguy Ndombele to let him leave, while the likes of Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic and Japhet Tanganga all had their contracts expire.

Tottenham were also able to send players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg out on loan to Marseille (with the obligation to buy in 2025) and also issue loan moves for Alejo Veliz and Bryan Gil. Emerson’s sale was also a long time coming as he was not considered a key part of Postecoglou’s squad anymore. The Brazilian full-back made 101 appearances for Spurs, including 24 last season, but will now venture on a new chapter in his career after the move to AC Milan.
